Kari graduated from Geneva High School in 2007 and headed to Baldwin Wallace University. There she was a history and political science double major and then continued on to received her master’s of education in 2013. Kari has worked at BW, Case Western Reserve University, The University of Alabama, and Columbia University. After living and working in NYC Kari returned to Geneva and the end of 2014, Kari decided to start forming more permanent roots in Ashtabula County. She began to work and volunteer with the ADDA, Connect 534, LEADERship Ashtabula County, and other various organizations in the county.
Kari thought of Eating in Ashtabula one Thursday summer evening and the idea took off a lot quicker than she thought! She asked her brother to join in and the two began to take the blog to the next level. With support from her husband, then boyfriend, Tristan, and their parents this blog has continued to grow daily.
Kari and Tristan live in Austinburg where Kari is currently the Director of Admission at Grand River Academy and Tristan works as a Productivity Consultant at a company in Cleveland. They love to try new eats throughout the county while still visiting their go-to spots regularly!
